This retreat is open to first-time and return attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, we do ask that guests only attend 1 retreat per calendar year. If you’ve already joined us this year, please plan to attend next year!

Adventure retreats are intended for those looking to push their limits with the camaraderie and support of peers and leaders while immersed in nature! If you are looking to get out of your comfort zone, then this might be the right fit for you.

The retreat will begin in Green River, UT and will include light/moderate hiking and a guided river trip including camping.

Attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and must arrive in Green River by 9 pm on the evening of Thursday, August 3. The first night, attendees will share accommodations in a local motel.  On the morning of Friday, August 4, the group will plan to meet at the Holiday River Expeditions HQ at 8:00 am. Guests will spend 3 days and 2 nights traveling and sleeping along the river (camping in double-occupancy tents  – no equipment needed). On Sunday, you can expect to return to Green River at about 4:00 pm.

This is a moderately physically challenging retreat that will include getting wet and being exposed to the elements. Please review the agenda carefully to ensure this retreat suits you, your risk tolerance, and your current physical health condition.

Your leaders include 2 empathetic and experienced facilitators, Savannah Lavenstein and Susan Bush, as well as 4 skilled river guides, including Amanda Sevigny, and a couple extra hands for additional support. Your crew will consist of 12 incredible women, all thriving and surviving after breast cancer. No experience is necessary, but the majority of this retreat is conducted outdoors. If you have any concerns, questions, or hesitancies please contact us directly.

Here is the general “flow” of your retreat. To learn more about Ruby Horesethief Canyon and general details about the route you will be traveling, itinerary, and packing information, please visit Holiday River Expeditions’ website here.
